This is something I had going on in a BBS thread, and decided to move to my userpage so I could edit and change it without needlessly bumping the thread with posts containing an ever-lengthening list of all the users that were mods at one point or another, for the various areas of the site. Listed are their current names, any old names they used to have (where a known name change has occurred, it'll be added to the list as '[old name] - see [new name]') and what part of the site they were moderating.
This list is always under construction, so it will change whenever new information needs to be added (i.e. more mods get de-modded, or more old ones get remembered).

There are a few gaps in places (namely the fact that no-one remembers icon and audio mods very well), but it'll hopefully get better with time and people coming forward with new stuff (if I PM them for it). If anyone knows of people that have been missed off, let me know and (once confirmed) I'll add them to the list as well.

I was like an icon mod for like 2 weeks or something.
Whoa, totally didn't notice this comment. :X
Anyway, icon mods don't really leave any kind of lasting personal impression on what they moderate / do, so I'm thinking of taking them off this list. Same goes for genre and wiki mods: no-one cares. :P

Hmm. According to Jamie (a little further up this page here) Wade said you were an 'everything' mod for 4 minutes...
...Meh; it really dosn't matter so far as the purpose of this is concerned, since you never actually used any of the mod tools (well, to the best of everyone's knowledge... o_0).
And I got the rest of the info from the BBS thread linked to at the start of the newspost. ;)

Davidzx was an icon mod.
Alaska, boss, and Ninjadonut / Donut are still icon mods.
Davidzx was a joke mod regardless. He's hardly important so far as this crap is concerned.
Dunno how the other three got in there though. My bad. :X

Egoraptor was an art and icon mod, who lost his art mod position when he was hacked. He never actually lost the aura on account of keeping the icon mod-ness.
He's now just an icon mod. He was never remodded for art.

Did you hear about cHunter being a mod from the sig he had? I assumed he had it there because some kid thought he was a mod but wasn't. There are some bad ex-mod assumptions around here. I even saw a post in one thread saying that I used to be a mod, lol.
No, I specifically remember him posting about it, and how he lost it by "Changing [an icon] to a penis and that was the end of [him]".
Annoyingly, it seems I'm confused again. The post I'm thinking about isn't actually in my old thread, and (while I know for certain I did actually read it and am not just imagining things) I can't think of where I might've read it.
Oh well... more searching around in the depths of the BBS. :/

Quite some time ago.... or so he claims.
No-one called him out in the original thread about this, and in the abscence of a reason to doubt him I suppose I've little choice but to take his word for it. Same goes for all the old ones, since despite being here from mid-'02, I only really started getting to know the community here after the creation of this account.

Davidzx was quote "an everything mod" unquote. Wade said this in stickam when he was jokingly modded. wade trolled all of stickam, and paltalk when he did this.
Dobio was remodded, fix that.
Transformer is Rig's alt.
Done, done, and as for Transformer, I don't think anyone is going to be completely honest about who was really behind that, so it's now listed as just 'someone's'.

Since I've been around forever, I should correct some mistakes in this list that I spotted immediately:
Macdeth (or Macbeth as he was known until 2004) was never a BBS mod. Ever. He was a review mod and got de-modded in early 2004 after Bedn (then Retrogade's webmaster) got into his NG account since his NG and Retrogade passwords were the same.
Ron was initially just a BBS mod at first, but he was eventually review modded him too. Same goes for Maus.
TBF, like Sarai, had one of the quickest ascents to modship ever--it took a little less than 6 months for him from sign-up date in April 2004 to modship in October of that same year. In addition to being a BBS mod, he was also an Audio Portal mod.
And of course, FUNK got de-modded again due to the DD incident. The last time it happened, in late January 2005, it was only for about an hour and I still remember it. Jade also needs to be added to the list for voluntarily stepping down.
Damn, didn't even notice FUNK had gone.

I don't know about including chat OPERATORS in the list. Because the official IRC NG chat is still around and maintained by some of the operators, even though it's no longer official. Plus you've really only scratched the surface. LadyGrace, EveningShift, DrLavaGoddess, arbitrarynickname, Muyburrito... I mean, are you going to count Anubis-, the bot ES and DLG maintained to kick for dumb shit like flooding and dropping the N-word?
For the record, I didn't actually put most of the chat ones in the list (that was done by Rucklo I think). Now that I've seen the chat for myself and know that being a mod in there really isn't a big enough deal to be worth remembering here (as the number of people flippantly 'modded' for the chat would suggest), I've taken the chat-only mods off the list.

Nephthys's alt never had mod powers. The main account, NOW Captain-Jack was the one that had mod access, back when name-changing was common and still user-controlled and Captain-Jack was Nephthys.
Stupid Weird-ass Nephthys pseudo-mod crap ruinin' mah list.

Nephthys and Captain-Jack are the same person, different accounts.
I'm aware of the weirdness involving the Nephthys account. For the purposes of simplicity: both accounts had mod powers, so as far as NG itself is concerned, it's two different people. Still good to know though, so thanks for that.
